An introduction to Radio Live
Radio Live (RadioLive styded as RadioLive) is an Auckland-wide, national talkback, world music radio station operated and syndicated by MediaWorks New Zealand. It started syndicating in December 2021 and became one of the most watched and followed new media outlets on waves of air. The name Radio Live refers to a number of things including the music streams, interviews, highlights, game listings and also stories that air on different programs on a daily basis. It is the most successful and popular online independent music channel on the New Zealand air waves. It can be heard in both analog and digital formats on traditional and digital radios.
Since its inception, hr1 live has enjoyed very rapid growth, reaching ratings of over 1.5 million listeners in an average week, which is good for any conversation or media business. During this time it had presented a wide range of guests such as political figures, actors, sports icons and other media personalities. Plenty of new faces have connected the cast since its inception, including outgoing talkback host David Murphy, who took over from Howard Adams in early 2021.
Other notable presenters include Bitch and presenter Rob Brush, Amy Hill and Writer, and Fairfax Media columnist Paul Barry. The station moderators are based in MediaWorks' main studios in Auckland and they are supported by a talented team of technicians and production people. In a nutshell, Radio Live is a unique and highly popular New Zealand version of the world famous BBC world news. The company is managed by a chief executive officer and co-founder, Peter Sharp. Media Works New Zealand, owns and operates Radio Live, the world's first new media program in over a decade, in addition to a variety of sister companies. However, it is not a bankruptcy.
